The Daily Snapshots add-on takes a snapshot of your VPS every day and keeps the last seven. If an update or change breaks something, we can roll your server back to a recent good state within the week.
These two add-ons solve different problems and pair well:
For important workloads, running both is sensible: snapshots for quick oops-rollback, off-node backup as the safety net.
Email [email protected] with your server and the date you want to return to, and we restore that snapshot. We confirm with you first, because a rollback returns the disk to that day and changes since then are lost.
Straight answers.
Seven. A snapshot is taken every day and the oldest is pruned, so you always have the last week of daily restore points.
No. Daily Snapshots is fast same-location rollback within the week. Off-Node Backup ships a full weekly copy to a second location for disaster recovery. They complement each other.
A rollback returns the disk to the chosen day, so changes made after that point are lost. We always confirm with you before restoring.
