FAQ

Honest answers, including the catches.

Does a NAT VPS work for a VPN?

Yes. Outbound traffic is unrestricted, and a VPN server needs just one inbound port — we forward a UDP port (e.g. WireGuard's 51820) straight to your VPS on request. Email support with the port and we'll map it. See: NAT IPv4, ports and forwarding.

Which VPN software can I run?

Anything — WireGuard (fastest, simplest), OpenVPN, or a panel like Pterodactyl-free setups such as wg-easy or Tailscale/Headscale. You have full root, so it's your call.

Is it fast enough?

Each VPS sits on dedicated single-tenant bare metal with a 10 Gbps link, so the VPN itself won't be your bottleneck. WireGuard adds very little overhead.

Can I use it to unblock streaming?

Honestly: maybe not. It's excellent for privacy on public Wi-Fi and reaching your own machines remotely, but many streaming services block datacenter IP ranges. If that's your only goal, a residential VPN may suit you better.

How many devices can connect?

As many as you like — add a WireGuard peer per device. A 1 GB Starter VPS comfortably handles a personal/household VPN.
